IEPL dedicated lines connect the entry and exit points through controlled cross-border links, with relatively limited public-internet involvement and more predictable routing. Their value is not an isolated speed figure on a page, but a more consistent transmission path during busy periods. Long video sessions, sustained uploads, remote desktops, and work systems that require stable sessions are generally good candidates to test with this type first.
Dedicated-line resources cost more to procure and maintain because the provider must manage the entry point, cross-border transport, and exit resources together. As a result, only some dedicated entry points may be configured in a given region rather than every city being labeled dedicated. Put stability needs first; for occasional web access, transit or direct routes may be a better fit.
Transit Routes
Transit routes send the connection to a suitable entry point first, then use a relay node to reach the target region. Compared with relying entirely on default public routing, transit can avoid some congested or inefficient paths while providing more alternatives to the same destination. Common entry points in Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe often combine different transit directions so they can be adjusted as network conditions change.
Transit costs fall between dedicated and direct routes, and coverage is usually more flexible. They suit everyday browsing, streaming, web-based AI tools, and general office work. An extra relay hop does not necessarily mean a slower experience; focus instead on session continuity, correct regional recognition by the target service, and stable page and video loading during your usual hours.
Direct Routes
Direct routes connect the local network to the target exit through public routing. Their structure is straightforward, and they are flexible when expanding coverage to new regions. With fewer relay steps, they suit cases requiring a specific country exit, shorter connections, or locations where the local public path is already efficient. Direct entry points are generally more common in distant regions and areas with more dispersed usage.
Direct routes are more sensitive to local carriers, inter-network peering, and changes in international public routing, so performance can vary by time of day. Do not draw conclusions from a single successful page load. Complete target-site login, content loading, and file transfers continuously before deciding whether to keep a route as a regular choice; if performance fluctuates, compare a transit entry point in the same region.
